The energy was high and the competition fierce at this year’s Run Bike Run event, with the Year 8 teams taking on a challenging multi-discipline course. The format tested both endurance and agility, starting with a 500m run, followed by a demanding three-lap off-road bike course riddled with obstacles and jumps, before finishing with a final 500m sprint.

Boys’ Team – Champions!

The Year 8 boys’ team, made up of Fin E, Myles K, Conor S and the unstoppable Ruben M delivered a phenomenal performance. Each athlete gave it their all, working smoothly through transitions and tackling the technical bike course with determination. The stand out moment came in the final lap of the bike section, when Ruben M — living up to his superstar status — overtook the leading team with a daring and strategic surge, putting the boys firmly in first place. They crossed the line in a blistering time of 31:04, securing a well-earned victory.

Girls’ Team – A Brave Effort

The girls’ team, composed of Lily MJ, Evie MA, Tamara S and Effie H faced stiff competition and a punishing course. Despite the tough conditions and strong opposition, they showed great resilience and teamwork throughout the event. Although they finished last, the team’s effort and sportsmanship were commendable. They represented their school with pride and pushed through to the finish line with smiles and determination.
