Pyrland School has an experienced body of governors known as the Local Governing Body (LGB). It includes past and present education specialists, members of the Richard Huish Trust, parents and local business people.
The Local Governing Body members meet every month and take part in school life and events. The Chair of the Local Governing Body is Stuart Todd, Director of Stuart Todd Associates Ltd.

Two governors of the Board, approved by the Diocese of Bath and Wells, are required by law to ensure that the school preserves and develops its Christian character in line with the Church of England’s teachings. These governors, in addition to their other duties, are charged with encouraging the Christian ethos as well as monitoring the Collective Worship (assemblies) and religious education (RPE) in the school.
