Match report By Miss Winsor

.

The Year 7 netball team welcomed The Castle School for an exciting match, with both teams displaying a range of skills and determination throughout. This created a competitive but friendly match for all players to enjoy. The girls worked really hard to move the ball down the court, showing great teamwork and communication throughout.

.

The team displayed strong netball from the outset, moving quickly around the court and demonstrating good passing through the centre court. Defenders Rosie and Michelle made several interceptions to keep the score tight in the first quarter. Working together, they showed effective movement in the defensive circle to successfully disrupt play.
.
Into the centre court, Evie showed great movement around The Castle defenders, dodging players to drive towards the ball. Not only did this create passages of play down the court, but also opened up space for her teammates, leading to more dynamic opportunities in Pyrland’s attacking play. Centre court players fed some great balls into the shooting circle, creating a range of opportunity for the shooters.
.
Despite facing a tough side, Pyrland displayed some great netball, adapting well to the challenges posed by a variety of players. The girls should continue working hard in training, further developing their netball for success in future matches.
