Meet the tutor evening 2026

Your child’s tutor is usually your first point of contact at Pyrland School. They see your child regularly, keep an eye on their attendance, wellbeing and progress, and are often the first to notice when something is going well or when a little extra support might help.

Meet the Tutor Evening is a chance to build that relationship early in the year. In a short, relaxed conversation you can:

  • Put a face to a name, so you know exactly who to contact if you have a question or concern.
  • Hear how your child is settling in, both in lessons and around school.
  • Share what you know, such as anything happening at home, your child’s interests, or things that help them learn. This helps the tutor understand and support them better.
  • Agree how to work together, so home and school send the same messages about attendance, effort and behaviour.

Children do best when the adults around them work as a team. When parents and tutors talk early, small worries can be dealt with before they grow, and successes can be celebrated together. This is a key part of our Sky High Expectations for every student.

Appointments are short, so please book your slot through Arbor under Guardian Consultations.
However if you are struggling to book please contact reception on 01823 438200 or reception@pyrland.mnsp.org.uk and they will support you to reserve your place.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 3 November, between 4pm and 7pm.
