Well done to our Year 10 hockey team, who won their second game of the season last night against Kingsmead School.

After a close first half, Pyrland were 2 – 1 up at the break, thanks to two awesome penalty corner strikes from Freya C. In the second half we stepped up a few gears and the quality of our hockey improved as a result, linking passes well and working the ball out from our solid defence of Maisie, Shania, Lily and Alicia to our speedy attack of Mya, Tilly, Iris and Elena.

Consequently, we scored again soon after the break with Mya finishing well in the D, then Freya completed her hat trick from another well executed penalty corner.

Our midfield of Taylor, Elsie, Abi and Freya worked tirelessly breaking down many Kingsmead attacks and towards the end, after coming close on many occasions, Tilly scored to secure a 5 – 1 win. A big well done to Esme for her second excellent game in goal.

These girls are still unbeaten since they joined us in Year 7!
