Opening the batting for Pyrland, Ruben M played an admirable innings, showing great patience and resilience at the crease. His efforts ensured that Pyrland posted a competitive total of 43-3 by the end of their six overs. While Ruben held firm, both Herbie F and Myles K provided the attacking flair, scoring quickly and helping to boost the team’s total. Myles K’s aggressive approach and Herbie’s clever shots were standout moments, pushing the score along as they capitalised on the bowling attack.

Castle School Innings:

Chasing a target of 44, The Castle School started their innings cautiously. Reece D provided a breakthrough for Pyrland early on with a well executed delivery, setting the tone for the rest of the innings. Ruben M, behind the stumps, demonstrated excellent wicket keeping skills, keeping the pressure on Castle’s batters. Mason D, with his tight bowling, also played a key role in restricting the opposition. Despite these efforts, The Castle School reached the target in the fifth over, losing only two wickets along the way.

It was an exciting contest, with both teams showing excellent skills, but The Castle School edged out Pyrland in the end, winning with two wickets down in the fith over.
