Pyrland School is nurturing some future swimming stars, with five students qualifying to swim at the Somerset County Championships this month.
Theo H (Year 8) and Abi O (Year 7) competed at their first county event, with some great personal bests. Caleb C (Year 8) swam amazingly and reached the finals in all his events, with some super personal bests.
Tilly H (Year 7) won three golds and is now Somerset County Champion in 200butterfly, 100butterfly and 400IM. On top of that she also won six silvers and two bronzes.
Reagan G (Year 11) won three golds and is now Somerset County Champion in 50 fly, 400IM and 100breastroke. On top of that he also won four silvers and three bronzes. Reagan missed one weekend, as he was in Luxembourg swimming for Wales – another awesome achievement!
Caleb, Tilly and Reagan go on to swim at regional level in May this year so watch this space!
