We were honoured with a visit from the next Bishop of Taunton, the Venerable Dr Fiona Gibson. She toured the school, met our chaplaincy team and chatted to students.
It coincided with the new bishop’s appointment being announced by Downing Street, so she had a crew from BBC Points West with her. Our students posed some tricky questions which she cheerfully answered for the tv cameras.
Pupils asked Dr Gibson such conundrums as why she wanted to join the church and what exactly does a bishop do?!
