We have had a busy term so far in the library, welcoming our new Year 7s and introducing them to our resources.
Students have been doing homework, reading, playing chess and other board games during lunch and breaktimes. Homework club has also started again after school Monday to Friday 3.10pm to 4pm.
We celebrated children’s author Michael Morpurgo’s 80th Birthday on the 5th October 2023, with displays and posters created by the student librarian team. Michael Morpurgo has written and continues to write some wonderful books which are very popular with our students.
We have also launched this year’s Autumn/Halloween bookmark competition, to be judged after half term and started the recruitment process for Year 7 student librarians.
